Newport Pavilion Update

Bear Creek Capital has updated their website (nice new look by the way) and they have some updated information - including my new contact, Adam Fights.

Adam had a few updates on the development at Memorial and 471 including:

  • Kroger should start to rise out of the ground any day

  • While it has become difficult to attract retailers of any kind in the current economic environment they have a few advantages including the location and visibility, an underserved market, and the fact that significant progress has been made.

  • With that being said they are having a difficult time attracting tenants. IHOP has pulled out of the development and has cancelled all expansion plans in the Cincinnati area. Kroger and Target are committed anchors and the only other signed lease that Adam confirmed is Buffalo Wild Wings.

In addition to the information above he indicated that he would love to hear from anyone that reads the blog in regards to retailers that Fort Thomas residents would like to see locate there. My pick is Chipotle. Add comments with your dream retailer!

  1. It will be nice to have Target and Kroger close by although it was sad to see the hillside destroyed. What's done is done so how about a Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Roly Poly, or Dick's. It would be even better if some non-chain retailers could afford to locate there.

  3. We love the fact that we will no longer have to shop at Bellevue Kroger! We would love to see a Chipotle, Panera Bread Co., Best Buy, Dicks Sporting Goods., and PF Changs. Good luck!

  4. It would be nice to see an independent coffee house open there as an alternative to Starbucks up the street. I would also like to see Chipotle, Panera, PF Changs or another good chinese restaurant, as well as a Fresh Market-type of store, too. There are so few healthy sit-down restaurants around here. Oh, a First Watch would be great.

  5. I agree that I can't WAIT for the new Kroger and Target to open!!! I would also love to see a Chipotle, Michael's Crafts, Panera Bread, PF Chang's, and maybe a coffee shop/book store specialty type store. It's great that there will be a Wings place going in too!

  6. I'll join the chorus for a Panera Bread, First Watch, and/or coffee shop. Also, a better sushi alternative than that overpriced place on the levee (I'm dreaming).

  7. I agree that having a Chipole in the area would be wonderful, perhaps a gas station would be good too.

  8. A Krogers gas station would make perfect sense. The only gas station in the area is a Speedway, and that place is a nightmare.

  9. I agree a added gas station would be great, along with a office supply like office max. We are also in need of good places to eat that are not too expensive. In the area it is only the levee or fast food. I would like to see... First Watch, Cracker Barrel, or maybe a Golden Coral, or Friday's?

  12. I totally agree a Panera would be awesome, but I would really love to see a BD's Mongolian Grill! They have a great meal at a good price, great for the entire family too! The closest one is in Mason, OH so one right there would be great for all of NKY and Cincy.
