From the Candidates: Campbell County Commissioner

Without further adieu, from Dave Otto (D - Fort Thomas):

As a father, husband, grandfather and friend, I love calling Campbell County my home. We raise our families, go to church, educate our children and we work and enjoy our leisure time here. Government needs to be about creating the environment in which these things flourish. I'm committed to keeping our cities and neighborhoods safe, providing for good schools, respecting a person's property and creating recreational opportunities for young and old.

As your County Commissioner we have been able to provide new parks, new roads, great senior services and the finest police and emergency service in the State. Furthermore, we've done this without raising your tax rate. I'm very proud of the bipartisan approach we have taken, no fighting, no bickering, and no politics, just good government.

I take pride in the things we have accomplished. Campbell County is a great place to live and work. I need your support, and I ask for your vote on November 2nd. Thank you so very much, Dave Otto.

  1. Dear Dave: You forget to add, "without raising your tax rate THIS YEAR". Funny how the fiscal court only asks for the compensating rate this year - an election year - when every year previous, you have raised it the max 4% you are allowed. Nice Try, Mr. Otto but we aren't buying it this time.

  2. Campbell County taxes are considerable lower than either Boone or Kenton County's taxes.

Judge Pendry and the Board of Commissioners deserve credit for this.
