#snOMG 1.3

So apparently this has been the 6th most snow this area had seen before this version of White Death. Up until today at about 2:00 or so, the roads had been absolutely fine. I'll continue to take some photos.

I realize I'm not breaking any news by any means, but it's still fun to see the progress of the storm. Also, Ft. Thomas Independent Schools were not off.

4:30 PM

  1. Kept our kids home today, and when I looked out the window at 3:00 p.m., I'm glad we did. Our street had not been touched at all, and there's no easy way in or out. Hopefully the school system can make a sensible decision about tomorrow.

  2. This reporting is groundbreaking!

  3. I managed to keep up with the shoveling an inch at a time until 3:30 when I was trying to shovel an inch of snow and throwing it into the street so cars could run over it. A "friendly" Ft. Thomas policeman stopped his car in front of my house and "requested" that I throw this inch of snow into my grass because their is an ordinance against throwing snow in the street. I don't think our police officers have enough to do.

  4. To take Donna's point a step further - my wife saw a lady get pulled over today by a Fort Thomas cop for not having her windshield cleaned. I understand the safety aspect but these two stories seem a bit much.

  5. I'm glad we have friendly police officers who "remind us" or give us warnings about public safety issues. I don't want to drive over a slick spot that Donna created in the street and I don't want a lady running over my kid because she was too lazy to clean her windshield. Our police department and city are top-notch and professional. I wish I could say the same about this blog and its bloggers.

  6. Thank you Anonymous for continuing to read our un-professional blog. You probably continue to read because we have news that the 'professional' news sources do not have.

  7. I'm guessing Anonymous above is putting him/herself in the unprofessional category as well with the choice to respond to this unprofessional blog. Can I ask...what makes a blog professional versus unprofessional?
I truly enjoy reading yours and Marks pieces and especially enjoy Mark's insights and humor!
(Not that I don't enjoy yours, too, Darrin!)
    Thanks for your news!

  8. I don't have a problem with our local police officers pointing out safety issues to oblivious citizens..

I'd like to point it out directly to those idiots, myself.. but, I don't have flashing blue lights.. ;-)

You guys are kind of touchy about being amateurs.. lol.
