I can't believe that this story has gotten so much play on other websites. It's completely ridiculous.
Long story short, people on Bluegrass Ave. have chickens. Neighbors don't like it. They wrote a letter to council to review ordinance that allows for chickens in the city limits.
I told some city officials I wouldn't comment too much on this story, and I won't, but if you want to see Mayor Brown's comments on this issue, which were quite frankly hilarious, go to our Facebook page.

It really isn't about the chickens. It's more about the condition that the property is being kept. Besides the chicken coop, there is a large unkempt garden and two unkempt composed bins. Along with various other items laying around in the yard. You need to really see it, before commenting on it.
I could not see Mayor Brown's comments. Can you tell us where to find them. I looked on the facebook link and could not find them.
I too would like to see Mayor Brown's comments. For some reason I have a feeling I'm going to get a laugh...
Mayor Brown did say that "she was going to refer the chicken issue to the chicken committee."
