Facebook FTM update

Here's a summary of what's been going on over the last week at the Fort Thomas Matters Facebook page. If you haven't yet joined, and are curious, check it out. We post "snapshot stories" that sometimes don't have enough content to dedicate an entire post on the blog format.

It's also a great way to make your comments heard. Negative Nancies beware: you have to attach your real name.

Here's what was going on:

- The above picture, taken outside 915, of a Ft. Thomas ambulance, getting towed away and subsequent smart-aleck remark about the department needing all $600,000 and change in grants.

What are your thoughts on Fort Thomas' use of the term "Spring Egg Hunt" instead of Easter Egg Hunt?

Dear Campbell Co./Ft. Thomas -

Thanks so much for the blaring storm sirens last night at midnight. The more you use these to wake everyone up, the more they will ignore them and go back to sleep.

Quick FYI from Taunya Nolan Jack: Just wanted to let your readers know that tomorrow, Friday, April 22nd, the Campbell Circuit/District Clerk’s Offices and both the Newport and Alexandria Driver License departments will close at 12:00 p.m.

Westboro Baptist has plans to "preach" within a legal distance at Brandon Pickering's service today. Shameful.

On The Leach Report this morning, Jeff Piecoro had some interesting words regarding UK commit Patrick Towles. Piecoro said he thinks he has a stronger arm than Jared Lorenzen (blasphemy!) and that if given the choice between Towles and Zeke Pike,’s #1 overall quarterback, he’d take Towles “seven days a week and twice on Sunday”. Pretty strong words. - via KSR
