Next
Tuesday there is a valuable event being offered by the Northern Kentucky Chamber
of Commerce to explore the regional employment outlook over the next 8 years. “Forecast
2020: Show Me the Jobs” will be the next installment in the Fort Thomas
Seminar Series.

Mr.
Steve Stevens, the president of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, will
conduct the seminar on Tuesday, October 23 from 7 to 8:30pm in the Performing
Arts Center at Highlands High School.
The
seminar will be invaluable to parents and students as the realistic options of
post-secondary education, college majors, and career options get closer and
closer.
To be
competitive in the job market a prospective employee must have attributes and
skills that separate them from other applicants. This seminar will not only show which jobs
will be in the highest demand over the next 8 years, but also the skills and college
majors that should be pursued to best prepare for those jobs.
The
information covered in the seminar is the exact kind of real world information
that the educators need to be equipped with as they prepare all of their
students to be college and career ready. The seminar will touch on the future job
markets and how educators can emphasize their student’s skill sets to be ready
for those jobs.
