Mama on a Budget: Happy (almost) Halloween

As you’ve likely heard, Frankenstorm is coming to play a trick with your Halloween plans.  So, if you’d like some indoor options on Halloween to avoid the “perfect storm” instead of trick or treating, see the list below:

To start your day, head to the Cincinnati Art Museum for the “Halloween Bash” from 10:00 am to 11:30.  It is a costume party and indoor trick-or-treating.  You and your children can travel through the galleries, listen to storytellers, and hear the story of the art from the docents.  Additionally, a lunch buffet (for additional fee) is provided.  Also, the museum has hands-on art for children at ArtWorld.

Next, stop by the Cincinnati Museum Center is hosting the Costume Parade and Monster Mash Dance Party at the Children’s Museum.  Admission is free for members or included in the price of admission and it lasts from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.  The event begins with a parade of all the children in costume and ends with a fun dance party perfect for your little “boos” and “ghouls”.  Additionally, they’ll have face painters on hand from 10:30 to 12:00 for your kids to get their face painted for a minimal cost.  Also, while there, be sure to check out the special Halloween exhibit in the “Cincinnati in Motion” section and spy the pumpkins and other hidden holiday objects.

But if you insist on venturing out in the storms, the trick-or-treating schedule is listed below for you to take your Frankenstein to face the Frankenstorm:
