Sick and tired of the cold and snow? Well, I have the perfect antidote to those winter blues, and you won't even have to leave Ft. Thomas to find it.
The Village Players are kicking off 2013 with a comedic collection of short plays entitled Swiss Cheese, Sweethearts and Shenanigans. This "festival of new, short comedies" is the brainchild of playwrights A.K. Forbes and Philip Paradis. Both Forbes and Paradis are Ft. Thomas residents. Director Steve Myers leads a cast of thirteen talented locals from throughout the Greater Cincinnati area to bring these six short plays to life on stage.
According to The Village Players' website, Paradis and Forbes have written an interesting and entertaining mix of plays. "A Max's Deli customer kibitzes about Swiss cheese. A bank robber gets advice from the teller she's robbing. A married couple's attempt to spice up their relationship is thwarted by an intruder. Two conference attendees wake up in a hotel room together. An office worker is visited by a birthday fairy. And an elderly widow plays hard-to-get. Six short comedies by two up-and-coming Fort Thomas playwrights!"
With a selection of six short plays, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy and connect with on stage. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling 859-392-0500.
