Boston Marathon Tragedy: Ft. Thomas Runners "Okay"

Ft. Thomas resident, Colin Muehlenkamp, who finished the marathon earlier today, "okay" per an update from a family member's Facebook page.

We are waiting to hear from him. Such a tragedy.

Update from Colin:
"We were in a cab about 2 miles away when it happened. Dad (Mike Muehlenkamp) walked from Boston Common to the bar since we didn't have room in the cab. He walked in the bar, looked at the tv and said he heard the 2 explosions. He was probably a mile away."

They are currently safe and sound in their hotel. Muehlenkamp, a 2000 graduate of Highlands, is with fellow runner, Nathan Clinkenbeard, an HHS 2002 graduate.

Also, from the Louisville Courier Journal, Ft. Thomas man, Mike Federle is doing okay. While Colin and Nathan had finished their race on a faster time, Federle was finishing around the time of the blast, when other less competitive runners were crossing the finish line as well.
