The official First Day of Summer isn't until June 21st, but I think it's safe to say summertime has arrived in Ft. Thomas. It's time for relaxing at the Swim Club, sipping on iced drinks from Ft. Thomas Coffee, and experiencing some of the city's great summertime entertainment.
Tower Park's Amphitheater is home to the city's Summer Concert Series. Here is this year's lineup:
June 11th: Ramona Blaine with the New Lime
June 20th: The Avenues
June 29th: Soul Pocket
July 16th: John Erwin Band
July 30th: G Miles & The Hitmen
August 13th: Troubadour Dali
August 27th: Bluebirds Big Band
September 5th: Ricky Nye Inc.

All of the Summer Concert Series performances are at 7:00pm with the exception of Merchants & Music, which kicks off at 3:00pm. Every performance is free to the public, and concessions are provided by Ft. Thomas Pizza. Check back soon for more information on the Summer Concert Series, and a more in-depth look at the series overall.
Once again, the city's Recreation Department is providing an array of activities for youth ages 7 to 14. The youth programs can be found on the city's website, and consist of everything from crafts to sports clinics. The Recreation Department also offers Adult Sports Programs to the public. The dates vary depending on the sport, but their website has all the information about how to participate in the programs.
Go ahead and mark your calendars for another fun-filled day of festivities celebrating the 4th of July. This year's Independence Celebration & Antique Car Show takes place on June 29th at Tower Park. The festivities begin at 4:00pm and continue until 10:00pm with the annual fireworks display. On July 4th, the parade, race, and tennis tournament will take place.
The city has a little something for everyone this summer. Which summer activities are you looking forward to this year?
