Mio's Party Till It's Gone Party

Look, there's not a whole lot of good that has come from Mio's Fort Thomas closing.

It's been bad for the community, the city, the owners and most importantly employees, who were unaware Tuesday morning that they would be job searching Tuesday night.

Here is our chance to thank the employees and send them on their way to hopefully a more prosperous future:

Mio's Party Till It's Gone Party.

Building owner and Mio's co-owner, Mark Fowler, has agreed to let the employees have one last opportunity to make some cash by selling the remaining inventory of beverages.

$2 drinks. All night. Until it's gone. Fort Thomas Matters has always tried to promote a shop local sensibility. If there was ever a time where shopping local could directly affect someone in our community's  future it's right now.

Thursday 8-close
Friday 6:30-close.

Please, come to Mio's one last time. If nothing else to help combat the way these employees were so abruptly let go.

  1. Do the owners have any comment about the abrup closure or the fact that they pulled one of the worst things you can do to a restaurant employee?

    1. I spoke with one of the owners today. I'd like to speak to the other one before I run the article. They did have comments regarding the abrupt closure that I can shed some light on

  2. I am interested to know what is going to happen to the Mio's building. Have heard rumors that it has sold. My hope that this is true, and it won't become a run down building in our community.

  4. It's not surprising to me that they closed. I tried to support them, ate there often, however, not one time we ate there or ordered carry out was our order right. Not once. Service like that, you wont last long...

  6. we are frequent visitors to mio's in mt washington due to proximity to work. Thus, we were so excited about having one close to our home. We were there for their opening night, did get seating and food that was delicious. The next 3-4 times we went were quite a disappointment (again, we love Mio's and kept trying). Raw chicken wings, hairs in our pizza (two times) and the crust was not not up to the Mt Washington Mio's standards. We sent a note regarding our love of Mio's and our frustration regarding our experience to the owners of the Ft Thomas location and the folks who are over all the franchises which we found on their website. Not one person responded.

We love Mio's pizza and will continue to go to the Mt Washington location. We get good service and consistently great food. It is a great mystery why Ft Thomas has few good food choices. Luckily, though unfortunate for Ft thomas, downtown Cincinnati is shining with great choices.

    Will continue to hope...

Still waiting for that great place in Ft Thomas.
