- City Administrator Don Martin will present to Council an amendment to Fort Thomas's bow hunting ordinance. On Sept. 3, Council approved (by 3-2 vote) the drafting of an amendment that will expand allowances for bow hunting within city limits. Council's discussion last week suggests the amendment will extend the city's bow-hunting season, as well as make changes to a lot's eligibility for allowing bow hunting. Tonight's meeting will not include discussion of this issue or the proposed changes, but only a reading of the amendment. Discussion and voting by council on the amendment will take place at the next meeting.
- Council will discuss a proposed Resolution in KY's State Legislature that will require a 3-day waiting period for purchasing a gun. Council will consider how this proposal might affect Fort Thomas residents.
- Council will hear the first reading of an ordinance amending Fort Thomas's current alcoholic beverage ordinance. According to Martin, "This is due to comply with changes the State Legislature made to the State's alcoholic beverage regulations," and will result in adjusting licensing procedures to fit with new state regulations.
Do any of these issues impact your life as a resident of Fort Thomas? Tonight's your chance to voice your opinion before council.
