High Flying Highlands Cheerleaders Anything but Routine

The Highlands football, soccer, cross country and band teams aren't the only ones receiving accolades this fall.

The cheerleaders were recently judged by a panel of four members of the Northern Kentucky Cheer Coaches Association during the Harrison County game. They judged then based on crowd leading efforts, stunting, voices, sportsmanship and overall performance.

They received 2nd place in Division 2 out of 11 other teams. And better yet, the top two scores in division 2 were the top two overall. Out of 17 teams across NKY, they had the 2nd highest score.

Cheerleading Coach, Carly Leopold said, "The girls have been working really hard this season and this certainly shows it!"
