Today marked the deadline to file as a candidate for the 2014 elections in the city of Fort Thomas.
Vying for the six seats on Fort Thomas City Council:
Incumbents
Ken Bowman (Altamont Ct.)
Lisa Kelly (Strathmore Ave.), and
Roger Peterman (Riverside Pky.)
will face six challengers:
Anthony Bonomini (Rossford Ave.)
Paul Whalen (Ridgeway Ave.)
Jeff Bezold (W. Kimberly Dr.)
Adam Meier (S. Ft. Thomas Ave.)
John Muller (Fischer Ln.), and
Nick Root (Rosemont Ave.).
Current Fort Thomas City Councilman Tom Lampe (R) has filed to run for Campbell County District 3 Commissioner, facing Democrats David Ammanns and Mark Ramler for current Commissioner Ken Rechtin’s seat. Rechtin (D) has filed as a candidate for Campbell County Judge/Executive.
Councilman Jay Fossett announced last week that he would not be running for reelection to City Council.
This line-up of candidates does not qualify Fort Thomas for a primary election in May. Voters will decide among these nine candidates in November.
And with this field of contenders, it is possible that Fort Thomas could have an entirely new City Council come November.
Mayor Mary Brown announced last week that she would not be seeking another term as mayor of Fort Thomas. Councilman Eric Haas has filed to run for mayor of Fort Thomas. He is running unopposed.
Thanks for the updates!

Adam, we'll be in touch. Email me.
ReplyDeleteThank you to Mayor Mary Brown for her nearly FOUR, (4) DECADES of service to our community. Welcome to our good friend Eric Haas. Based on Eric's years of service on Council, his business savvy and close involvement with Fort Thomas Independent Schools, I am pleased to say that the City has the best potential one can imagine to enter one of its most dynamic times, (ever) with an infusion of new energy not seen previously.
ReplyDeleteJohn Muller would be a great addition to City Council!
ReplyDeleteVery intelligent and a great neighbor!
