“Senator Katie Stine has been a tireless servant to the
people of this region. As the first
woman in the history of our Commonwealth to rise to the position of Senate
President Pro Tem, she set a high standard of accomplishment. I am very appreciative of her dedication to
the people of this district,” says Schroder.
Schroder, son of the late Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Wil
Schroder, likewise has a passion for public service. “My father taught me that one person can make
a difference in his or her community. He
always maintained that there are things worth fighting for, and that you shouldn’t
step away just because the path will be difficult.”
Schroder is a felony prosecutor in the Campbell County
Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office. In
that role, he has represented the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and the people of
Campbell County, in hundreds of felony cases. As a prosecutor,
Schroder is familiar with the challenges law enforcement and the counties face
with the heroin epidemic. “I fight daily
on behalf of the citizens of this community in the courtroom. I want to take that experience to Frankfort
to work directly on the problems facing our state.”
In addition to making our communities safer, Schroder will
focus on creating an environment to support economic growth. “I’m encouraged by the pro-business climate
in the Kentucky State Senate, and see a lot of opportunities to work with our
Northern Kentucky delegation on fiscal issues that affect our region including
tax reform and tax credits for angel investors."
Prior to his own campaign for State
Senate, Schroder dedicated himself to helping conservative candidates on the
state and federal level, including Republican presidential nominee Governor
Mitt Romney, Congressman Thomas Massie, Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner James
Comer, and State Senator Chris McDaniel.
His organizational efforts on behalf of Mitt Romney earned recognition
in the Wall
Street Journal. Schroder is also a former Executive Committee Member of the
Republican Party’s 4th Congressional District. “I know the dedication and effort that a
successful campaign takes,” Schroder says.
“I plan on proving to the people of Campbell, Pendleton and Bracken
Counties that I’ll be an energetic and effective advocate for their interests
in Frankfort.”
Schroder resides in Wilder and is a lifelong Northern
Kentucky resident. He graduated from the
University of Kentucky and the Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky
University. He married his high school sweetheart, Marci. The two are active members of the Next
Chapter Church in Cold Spring where they have served as youth group leaders for
the past four years and where Wil often plays in the worship band.

That's good news. I didn't know Will was running.
