What to Look for When Booking a DJ. DBSoundCo Sounds Off.

-->
DB SoundCo is part of the #FTMFamily

Hey Brides-to-Be, did you find your perfect DJ at this past weekend’s Bridalrama?  My guess is NO, because you didn’t have to go to Bridalrama to find him; you just had to read Fort Thomas Matters.  Introducing FTM’s newest advertising partner: DB SoundCo.  Dave Leahy, owner of DB Soundco., offers a full service DJ, sound reinforcement, and live sound option for your upcoming wedding reception, graduation party, or neighborhood block party (that is, if we ever thaw out).  Leahy answered a few of FTM’s questions so all our avid readers could get to know this Fort Thomas business owner and his business a little better.

FTM: What makes you unique?
Leahy: I don’t know of any other DJ’s who also provide live sound.  I have been providing live sound for clubs and festivals for many years.  Already having pro sound gear made the transition in to DJ work an easy one.  I can provide DJ services for crowds from 5 to 5,000.  I first became interested in becoming a DJ when I was hired by a very experienced DJ in the Cincinnati area named Kylee Kingsley.  Kylee hired me to work a couple of corporate events with him that required live sound for entertainers as well as a DJ to provide dance music.  It was very interesting to see all that is required of a DJ to make an event successful.

FTM: How long have you been in the community and how did you get your start?
Leahy: I grew up in Fort Thomas and we moved away when my Father was relocated.  Like so many other Fort Thomas natives we relocated back to the area when my children reached school age.  I got my start playing guitar in rock bands and was always very interested in the equipment side of the business.  From there I started doing sound jobs for friends and the business just kind of took off.

FTM: What has the local community meant to you and your business?
Leahy: Most of the work I’ve done has been in the Cincinnati area.  One of my favorite events of the year is the Mid Point Music Festival because I have been fortunate to work with such a diverse group of people.

FTM: Do you have any events coming up or other things FTM should mention?
Leahy: I am going to DJ at Mr. Pitifuls on Main St. for the Bock Festival March 7th, 8th.

FTM: Do you have any specials or deals for FTM Readers?
Leahy: I will give anyone who mentions the ad in FTM a $50 discount for their event.

So, brides, graduates, fun-lovers of all kinds, remember DB Soundco for your next event.
