Jared Lorenzen Leaves BOK Rivermonsters' Opener with Ankle Injury

INJURY UPDATE:
X-rays revealed Lorenzen has a broken tibia.

SCORE UPDATE:
Erie 42 - NKY 30. Rivermonsters now 1-1 on the year.

Jared Lorenzen left the home opener for the Northern Kentucky Rivermonsters today with an ankle injury. Lorenzen was on the field for several minutes in pain, before four trainers and players carried the quarterback to the sidelines.

From Fox 19's Joe Danneman, Lorenzen left the Bank of Kentucky Center in an ambulance and apologized for getting hurt. He said he did not know what was immediately wrong with his ankle.

The Rivermonsters were tied with the Erie Explosion at 7 apiece after the end of the 1st quarter.

Former Highlands and Thomas More Quarterback, Kyle James is now in at Quarterback for the Rivermonsters.
