Murriner Culinary Experience Sunday will benefit Campbell County YMCA

Join the Campbell County YMCA for the second annual Murriner Culinary Experience, a “foodie” fundraiser with proceeds benefitting the Y’s annual scholarship fund.

The event will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Little Nashville of Newport, located at 828 Monmouth Street in Newport.

The event includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, music by Ben Walz, a silent auction, door prizes and the comedy of Adam Minnick and friends.

Tickets purchased in advance cost $25; at the door, tickets cost $30.

Purchase tickets online or call the Campbell County YMCA for more information at 859-781-1814.

The fundraiser helps those in our community who need it most, including single working parents and veterans struggling to heal physical and emotional scars.

"Last year we were honored to host an event supporting the YMCA,” Darrin Murriner said. “Our family is committed to the YMCA and not just because it is a health club.  They provide need-based memberships, safe and educational after school programs, and summer camps that offer kids fun and leadership opportunities.  This event funds these programs that serve wonderful families in our community and at-risk youth alike."
“Most people know I have a passion for good food, good music and plenty of laughter. Pair that with an opportunity to give back to the community I love and support, and you have a perfect event,” 2014 campaign chair Chuck Allen said.

“It’s truly amazing to see how staff, volunteers, local business owners, and donors work together to support our community,” Campbell County YMCA Executive Director Dana Ensley said.

Last year, the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati raised $1.9 million in charitable contributions to help operate programs that serve the local community, from teaching children how to swim, to providing afterschool and enrichment programs.
