Former KY Governor Patton to Attend Campbell County Democrats 2nd Annual Riverboat Cruise


Kentucky's 59th Governor Paul E. Patton will be the Guest of Honor at The Campbell County Democrats 2nd Annual Riverboat Cruise on Sunday June 29th. 

The two-hour cruise will be aboard the My City Clipper and will launch from the Queen City Riverboat Dock in Dayton at 4 p.m. Boarding will begin at 3:30.

The cost is $60, which includes appetizers while aboard. A cash bar will also be available.

Governor Patton, with the help of Campbell County's late Rep. Jim Callahan, has been credited with modernizing post-secondary education in Kentucky with the creation of Kentucky’s Community & Technical College System.  

Closer to home, Governor Patton was responsible for securing the $39 million for NKU’s Natural Science Center.

Patton served as Pike County Judge/Executive prior to serving as Lt. Governor and KY's Economic Development Director before his election as Governor.

After serving as KY Governor, Patton served as Chair of Kentucky’s Council on Post-Secondary Education.  He also served as President of Pikeville College now Pikeville University.  Patton currently serves as Chancellor of Pikeville University.
