Last Friday FTM reported what we were hearing properties 35 and 40 on the site map at Newport Pavilion could be. From the article:
So what could the last retailer be?
Obviously nothing is set in stone and certainly nothing is signed, however we do have early indications for what the space COULD be. If our information is correct and judging by the site map, it looks like it may be, the last big retailer at Newport Pavilion may be Flipdaddy's.
"Brilliant burgers and craft beers" is their mission, with three other locations in Mariemont, Symmes Township and Union. Flipdaddy's has been looking to move into the area and was very close to signing a lease in Fort Thomas at the Fort Thomas Plaza as recently as about a year ago.
Today, part of the information was confirmed as Flipdaddy's has signed on in the 6,000 square foot, "property 40." Tom Demeropolis confirmed the report in the Business Courier. The restaurant will aim for a March 2015 opening.
Bob Dames, CEO and Founder of Flipdaddy's, told The Business Courier that this location will be the largest of the four restaurants. "This will be our flagship," Dames said in that interview.
Also from the Business Courier, The new restaurant will have seating for about 260, including two private rooms, a large bar, and an outdoor patio with a fire table and garage doors that will open when the weather is nice.
While the menu at Flipdaddy’s includes salads and paninis, the burgers and the beers are the stars. About 80 percent of the food sales are burgers.
