Last Chance to Spend Time with "The Addams Family"
Don't miss out on your chance to catch a performance of The Addams Family at Highlands High School's Performing Arts Center. The show's final weekend of performances kicks off this Friday, July 18.
This production of The Addams Family is brought to the stage by the Commonwealth Artists Summer Theater (C.A.S.T.) group. C.A.S.T. is a collection of talented high school students from all throughout the Greater Cincinnati area." The cast and crew includes students from Anderson, Turpin, Newport Central Catholic, Covington Catholic, St. Xavier, Highlands and Scott high schools, plus more." said the Fort Thomas Independent Schools website. The production is directed by Jason Burgess, who also serves as the theater director at Highlands High School.
Fans of the endearingly quirky and creepy Addams clan will certainly be entertained by the show's original story concept. According to the FTIS website, "Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family - a man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's 'normal' boyfriend and his parents."
