Via Business Courier:
Eric Deters, a controversial local attorney, was arrested on Monday, the Enquirer reports.
Deters was booked into Kenton County Jail at 10:38 p.m. Monday on a charge of failing to appear in a Kenton County courtroom. He was released before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday after posting a $503 bond.
It was not clear why Deters was supposed to appear in court, but he is scheduled to enter the courtroom at 9 a.m. Tuesday in relation to the new charge.
Deters was suspended from practicing law in Kentucky earlier this year for violating the Kentucky Bar Association’s attorney code of conduct. The suspension led Deters to decide to stop practicing law in the state permanently and led to a 60-day suspension in Ohio under a reciprocal agreement. He was previously suspended from practicing law in Kentucky in 2012.
