WANTED: Sex Offender Absconds From Halfway House in Newport

Investigators want help tracking down a convicted sex offender. Campbell County deputies said 36-year-old Donald Berkemeier failed to comply with sex offender registry requirements.  

He was convicted of abusing a 10-year-old child in 1997.     

Berkemeier walked away from a halfway house in Newport.  He also has ties to Dayton, Kentucky.  Authorities warn that he may be dangerous.     If you know where he is you can contact the Campbell County Sheriff's Department or Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
