Budding Journalists: Goodbye Mrs. Doubtfire

By: Megan Benzing

Robin Williams, the man who made me laugh died August 11, 2014. Robin Williams committed suicide in Tiburon, California. Nobody knows why he killed himself, but it could have been from depression issues.

Robin Williams was a funny guy. He made a lot of people and children laugh. You would be surprised of what characters Robin Williams has played in some kids movies. Here are some of them he played in: Hook, Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, Flubber, Robots, Happy Feet and Night at the Museum.

I loved a lot of the movies Robin Williams starred in. My two favorites are Jumanji and Mrs. Doubtfire. Jumanji is about a boy named Alan Parish, who finds an evil board game called Jumanji. He started playing it with Sarah Whittle and he ends up getting sucked into the game. After years in the jungle, two kids released him and they had to finish the game, but first had to find Sarah Whittle. After finding her, they had a lot of adventure through the rest of the movie.

Another one of Robin Williams’s big hits is Mrs. Doubtfire. A lot of you might have seen it before. Mrs. Doubtfire is a story about how Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) throws a birthday party for his son Chris. It got out of control. That was the last straw for his wife, Miranda. Miranda finally files a divorce. Now Daniel is very upset he only sees his kids once a week. He found Miranda was looking for a housekeeper and Daniel thinks he can pull it off in disguised as Mrs. Doubtfire.

Robin Williams brought a lot of enjoyment to kids movies. Not only he was a funny comedian, but also was a very good actor. He did lots of charity work and he brought to life great characters such as: Gene, Mrs. Doubtfire. Lovelace and Fender. We will miss one great comedian. Goodbye Mrs. Doubtfire.
