Fort Thomas Motorist Involved in Fatal Motorcycle Accident

A fatal motorcycle accident on Kellogg Ave. Thursday night involved a driver from Fort Thomas/WLWT

The Hamilton County Sheriff's office is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident on Kellogg Ave. Thursday night involving a motorist from Fort Thomas.

19-year-old Andrew Karrick of Fort Thomas, who sustained no reported injuries in the accident, was driving his 2002 Dodge Durango eastbound on Kellogg Ave. when his vehicle was struck by a motorcycle traveling westbound. The driver and passenger of the motorcycle, who were not wearing helmets, were thrown from their vehicle on impact, according to reports.

The driver of the motorcycle, whose name has not been released, was declared dead on the scene. His passenger was transported to University Hospital in serious condition.

A toxicology screen indicates that alcohol or drugs were not a factor impacting Karrick's driving, but such information is still pending for the driver and passenger of the motorcycle.

The accident on Kellogg was the second to involve a motorcycle and an SUV on Thursday, the first involving the death of a 19-year-old UC football player who was riding his motorcycle to practice when he was struck by a sports utility vehicle on Vine St. Thursday afternoon.

And for safety of these students, your child, or maybe your relative. I would suggest emergency safety service that everyone can carry all days.
