As Fire Prevention Week quickly approaches the Fort Thomas Fire Department reached out to the Highlands Film and Production class to see if they could create a PSA regarding the importance of testing your smoke alarms.
Chris Rust is a firefighter and paramedic for the Fort Thomas Fire
Department and he approached the class to see if
they would be interested in the project focusing on this
year’s theme, “Working Smoke Alarms save lives: Check yours every month.”
The head of the Film and Production class, Mr. Poff, said he made
this one of their first projects.
The team of Molly Mearns and Jeff Orne were
placed in charge of the project. They
were given just a few guidelines to follow.
The team presented the Fort Thomas Fire Department with several ideas. One idea stood out among all the others.
Fire department representatives said the film team worked fast on putting the PSA together. From the idea concept to the finished product, the PSA
is very professional and gets the point across.
