Mama on a Budget: Christ Church UCC Fall Festival

Christ Church UCC
Looking for some family-fun this weekend?  Look no further than Christ Church UCC at 15 South Fort Ave.  On Saturday September 6 from 4-11 pm, Christ Church will be hosting their second-annual Fall Festival to raise money to support their youth mentoring mission work as well as to provide the community with a fun weekend night of activities.  This year’s festival will fill both the parking lot and St. Nicholas Place which will be closed to traffic.

The festival will feature a $7 chicken dinner prepared on-site by the Green Derby as well as other food options, music from Highlands High School graduate and local musician Josh McIntosh of the band Josh McIntosh and Company, and a beer tent.  Additionally, carnival games, children’s games, and other activities for kids young and old will be held throughout the festival.

Ryan Byers, pastor of Christ Church, says of the upcoming event, “we hope to have a good crowd and to build a sense of community.  The main purpose of the event is to raise funds to further the mission of Christ Church as well as to create a fun environment for people to gather together”.
In addition to the food, music, and games, there will be a silent auction ongoing with auction items that include an Andy Dalton autographed football, a Cris Collinsworth autographed football, and a vacation stay at David Hosea’s family mountain cottage in South Carolina.

So, be sure to come out and have a great time, play some games, drink some beer (responsibly), eat chicken, and support the mission work of this Fort Thomas church.  And stop by the children’s game area and say hi to Mama on a Budget to get your photo featured in the upcoming edition of Fort Thomas Living!  For more information, go to the church’s website.
