Monera Chic Boutique Offers Fashion, Eye Candy and Inspiration

I had an opportunity to visit the Monera Chic Boutique this weekend. This charming Fort Thomas shop tucked back off of Highland Avenue has a little bit of everything when it comes to women's fashion. From jewelry and handbags to clothing and hats, you can pick up a statement piece to help round out your wardrobe.

The boutique was named after owners Monica Bruns-Howard and Tera Huddleston. The original concept for Monera started as home-based business. Tera began making jewelry as a way to keep her mind off her colon cancer diagnosis and treatment. Monica had partnered with her to grow a collection of handcrafted jewelry pieces. Once Tera received a bill of clean health, the two decided to launch a true store and offer a wide variety of chic items.

Bracelets from the Bourbon and Boweties line caught my eye right away. With so many gems and colors to choose from, you can surely create a combination of stackable bracelets that are perfect for special occasions or everyday wear.  I've actually seen these bracelets in magazines and on blogs. They are the pieces to have this season. I purchased two, but wanted them all!

Their displays get an A+ in my book. These women definitely have an eye for detail! Even if you're just windows shopping, you'll take home decor inspiration for your own space. Their clever use of commonly found items makes you think twice about things you might already own.

How gorgeous does their bracelet display look in this vintage bowl? This is an easy idea you can put to use in your own home. Imagine a similar bowl sitting on your dresser or on a shelf in your closet as a way to store and display your jewelry collection.

Here are a couple other items that caught my eye...

Boot cuffs - Perfect for layering with your favorite pair of flat riding boots!

A statement necklace - Use this to dress up basics such as a solid color fitted t-shirt or your little black dress.

This emerald green top - My friend Christy showcases one of my favorite pieces. I love the detailing on this top!

The Ginger Snaps jewelry line - An interesting and intriguing interchangeable line that allows you to create a custom piece by selecting your favorite "snaps" and adding them to a necklace, bracelet, rings, sunglasses and even a clutch.

Have you had an opportunity to stop by Monera? If so, what was your favorite find?

The Monera Chic Boutique is open Monday through Saturday (Monday, Thursday and Friday: 10 am - 6 pm; Tuesday and Wednesday: 10 am - 7 pm; Saturday: 10 am - 4 pm).
