Republican Steve Pendery has held Campbell County's Judge Executive seat for the last 15 years. Democrat Ken Rechtin, who has also served the county as a County Commissioner for over a decade, wants to bring Pendery's tenure to a close, and the opponents have finally settled on a date for their first debate.
Free and open to the public, NKY Forum will host the first of what will be a three-debate cycle between the two candidates, at the City Building in Wilder, at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8. The debate was announced as part of NKY Forum's Fall 2014 programming schedule.
Among the various topics slated for discussion, Rechtin and Pendery will discuss their approaches to economic development, heroin addiction, and their overall visions for Campbell County.
The Cincinnati Enquirer's Amanda Van Benschoten will moderate the debate.
Election Day is November 4.
