THIS WEEKEND: Celebrate 100 Years of HHS Football
On Saturday, the Bluebirds will take on a brand new opponent, Paducah Tilghman, as part of a celebration that marks something very much not new: 100 years of football excellence at Highlands High School.
In addition to the game itself, the celebration will include recognition of the 1957 state championship team with their coach, Homer Rice, before the game. Also, all former coaches and players in attendance will be recognized prior to the start of the game.
For some back story, here are FTM sportswriter G. Michael Graham's looks back on what has made the Bluebirds' last century on the field so special.
