The patron saint of the Episcopal church in Fort Thomas is Saint Andrew, who is also the patron saint of Scotland. The church, being Anglican anyway, has a special love of Scotland, according to church member Andrew Modrall.
Every year the church has a celebration in November, which includes the Feast of St. Andrew.
The
procession will include the Pipe & Drum Corp of the Greater
Cincinnati Caledonian Society, as well as members of our parish, our
clergy, acolytes etc.
Modrall said it will be a festive occasion. The church's rector, will be
wearing his kilt, as will several other members of the parish.
The service that follows inside St. Andrews Episcopal Church will be open to the public, and includes more bagpipe music.
After the service there will be an exhibition of Scottish dancing, performed by the Highland Dancers, and free Scottish food.
