Playwright, Former Teacher Teri Foltz Pens Play Depicting The Always Mysterious Faculty Lounge

The Faculty Lounge, a new play by playwright Teri Foltz, gives you a peek inside that room in your high school that was always off limits.

The Faculty Lounge, directed by Danny Davies, will be performed at the Carnegie Arts Center in Covington on Oct. 9, 10 and 11 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are available at the box office at 859-957-1940 for $15 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. or by clicking here.

Teri Foltz has written the play of scenarios of teachers facing typical issues in and out of the classroom. The audience will see the human side of teachers; how they feel about their careers, their students and their administrators.

You will meet five teachers representing every high school teacher in America and some of the students they teach. Come hear what the students (and teachers) will never say in the classroom. Foltz says it’s funny ... until it’s not.

Foltz said if you are a teacher you will see yourself in these characters. The play is for everyone who has been a teacher or been in a classroom.

  1. I went to see this play last night knowing it would be good; but in fact, it was fabulous! So funny, so touching, great entertainment! Congratulations Teri!!! ( You may now correct my punctuation and grammer) Beth Healy
