Mitchell Jones Signs with Kentucky Wesleyan University

Mitchell Jones signs his letter of intent, while his parents and coach look on.
Highlands Senior and starting pitcher for the baseball team, Mitchell Jones, signed his letter of intent yesterday at 3:00 PM in the Highlands library in front of his teammates, faculty, coaches and media members.

A funny moment. Before signing his letter of intent, Jones check with his coach to make sure the date was correct.
Head Coach, Jeremy Baioni, started the ceremony by talking about Jones' first appearance as a freshman in the regional championship game. "I don't know what that says about my managing," said Baioni, "But we were glad to have him on the mound that day."

“Mitchell continues to work hard and I couldn't be more excited for him as he will get a chance to continue his baseball career at the college level,” said Baioni. “Kentucky Wesleyan is getting a very dedicated, hardworking baseball player and fine young man.”

FTMSports will have more on this signing as well as the other Highlands Baseball Birds sign with their colleges of choice. Check back for more.
