CVG Continues to Add New Destinations into New Year

Allegiant Airlines is preparing to add more destinations out of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) after the new year.

Earlier this month, Allegiant announced further expansion from CVG with increased flights to Florida.

Service from CVG to Jacksonville, FL, will begin February 12, and, starting in May of 2015, existing service to Orlando and Southwest Florida will double.

“Cincinnati has shown to be a very strong market for Allegiant,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning, in a news release. “We know Orlando and Southwest Florida are very popular with local travelers, and we're pleased to step in and offer these additional flights where other carriers have reduced service.”

Seasonal service to Myrtle Beach will also begin in 2015, according to officials.

Starting in May 2015, Allegiant will increase its service from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to Orlando to nine times weekly via Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). Flights to Southwest Florida via Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) will increase to eight times weekly.
