6,000 local people in need will now enjoy a hot meal this holiday season.
Remke Markets have partnered with Miller Poultry to donate 6,000 pounds of drumsticks and over 700 pounds of sausage to the Brighton Center, located in Newport, to provide a hot holiday meal for local families in need.
The donations took place Monday morning at the Remke Markets location on Clock Tower Way in Crescent Springs.
According to a report filed by The River City News, this is the fourth year the Brighton Center has received such a donation. Remke's gifts also benefited Be Concerned, out of Covington, and Seven Hills Church, according to the report.
