Those who come out to enjoy the 2015 Cincinnati Beer Week will experience a substantial increase in locations to choose from, as well as an increase number of opportunities to explore tasty, well-crafted beer.
Cincinnati Beer Week has seen growth in the number of registered venues, with more than 100 official participants consisting of bars, restaurants, bottle shops, grocery stores, festivals, wholesalers, homebrew clubs and more.*
“We are looking forward to what promises to be the most exciting, thoughtful, well-crafted Cincinnati Beer Week to date,” Beer Week President Lindsey Bonadonna-Roeper said. “Our goal this year is to increase awareness of this incredible celebration of well-crafted beer, to really engage our community, and to show the region what a vibrant beer community Cincinnati has become home to.”
One important aspect of Cincinnati Beer Week is giving back to the community through the inclusion of numerous charities, which receive a special listing & recognition for events on Cincinnati Beer Week’s website. These events are put together by the collective collaborative talents of both the participating venues and the charities to benefit many worthy causes.
During the 2015 Cincinnati Beer Week, participants will be able to share and keep track of all their favorite beers, beer events and purveyors of well-crafted beer through social media. Users of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Untappd should make sure their status updates, photos, comments and posts have the hashtag #cbw15 so they can share their Cincinnati Beer Week moments with others.
For Instagram users, using the hashtag #cbw15 comes with added special benefits.
Each time a photo of a well-crafted beer moment is posted on Instagram with #cbw15, the person who posts it is eligible to win in the 2015 Cincinnati Beer Week photo competition. Don’t forget to tag the event's Instagram account cincinnatibeerweek, so your photo will be seen there also. The content posted must be submitted by the person who took the photo, competition participants may not submit photos that are not their own. All photos should be in good taste and represent the mission of Cincinnati Beer Week, which is to educate, inspire and celebrate through well-crafted beer. There will be several winners announced, who each will receive a collector’s edition poster signed up all the Cincinnati Beer Week Collaboration Beer brewers.**
The beer community spoke and Cincinnati Beer Week listened! Two requests frequently heard from patrons of the 2014 Cincinnati Beer Week were for an Untappd Badge and a Cincinnati Beer Week app. This year, Cincinnati Beer Week participants will have both!
Now it will be easier than ever to get connected with Cincinnati Beer Week. Starting February 13th, we will unveil a FREE app available for download for Apple, Android and Windows mobile devices to view events by date, get directions to venues, info on beer and more.
Cincinnati Beer Week has also partnered with Untappd, the widely used beer app that lets users keep track of the beers they have tried and where they have tried them.
Untappd will allow Cincinnati Beer Week patrons to share information with others about their favorite beers and where they are finding them. Participants who check into two registered Beer Week venues will unlock the unique 2015 Cincinnati Beer Week badge.
