Laskey
received her nomination to the United States Air Force Academy from
Senator Rand Paul in January and was offered an appointment in early
March. She will report to the Academy in June for In-processing for Basic
Cadet Training and then be sworn into the U.S. Air Force.
“I'm
happy Meredith will get to pursue her dream of playing college tennis at a
service academy,” said Kris Laskey, Meredith’s mom and Highlands High School
girls head tennis coach. “Her work ethic and team player
mentality should serve her well both in the classroom and on the court at
Air Force. I know she will make Highlands proud as she
wears the royal blue and white for USAFA Tennis this fall!”
