Adrian Mester has been selected by the Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) to perform in the All-National Honor Ensembles Concert Band for percussion.

The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-National Honor Ensembles represent the top-performing high school musicians in the United States.

"The audition process to be selected in the NAfME All-National Honor Ensemble as a percussionist is very demanding,” said Lori Duncan, Highlands High School band director. “I am very proud of Adrian and thrilled that he will have this opportunity as a young musician."

The honor ensembles program will take place October 25-28, 2015, at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Conference Center in Nashville, TN.  The final performance will be at the historic Grand Ole Opry House under the baton of leaders in the field of music education.

  1. FYI...history is repeating itself. He has made it in again for 2016. In November he will travel to the Gaylord in Grapevine, TX to attend this annual event, only open through audition to students who have made All State in their respective states.
