Fort Thomas Police Monthly Report (May 2015)

Officer Nick Hoffman arranged a presentation for the Daisy Troop to help them complete their "Respecting Authority" patch. On top of earning patches, Girl Scout Daisies (grades K-1)  go on trips, learn about nature and science, and explore the arts and their communities.

In May officers wrote 35 speeding tickets, 5 DUI charges, 51 charges for non-traffic charges and 212 traffic charges.

Officers issued 128 warnings and totaled 30 court appearances. There were 40 drug related charges placed against 23 adults, which was a significant increase in a year-over-year comparison to May of 2014. Of the 23 charged, one was a Fort Thomas resident while traffic stops led to 13 of the charges.

Fort Thomas Detectives received 10 new cases in May. That is down from 20 in April, which is an anomaly for this time of year when crime often spikes with the rise in temperature.
