What's Going on in Fort Thomas this Summer?
Last week the summer amphitheater concert series kicked of with the 2nd Annual Induction of the Northern Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. On Tuesday, June 16, the "Share What you Can" concert, featuring the Naked Karate Girls, will start at 7 p.m.
The FREE concert will have food and drinks available for purchase and Brighton Center will be collecting non-perishable food items to help stock their family center's food pantry. Brighton Center is local social services agency that has over 35 programs that directly support our local families in need.
Fort Thomas resident, Katie Walters, will emcee the event.
"Families are most vulnerable for hunger during the summer months due to the increased demand on the household food budget with children being out of school. Our food pantry increases to over 500 households served per month during the summer," said Talia Frye, Workforce Development Director. "The food collected at the Share What You CAN Event will help us sustain our food pantry shelves during the summer months and will provide an opportunity for families to have their basic needs met while working toward longer term stabilization."
You can directly help them help our neighbors.
