Rumpke Yard Debris Policy in Fort Thomas

A tree was uprooted on Wednesday on Riverview Avenue, buckling the sidewalk and landing on a house. FTM file.

The two storms that ravaged through Fort Thomas on Monday and Tuesday left a lot of damage in its wake.

Some damage was worse than others, but certainly you have spent time over the last few days picking up tree limbs that have fallen in your yard.

Since the city has stopped the yard waste pile in Tower Park, here's a reminder on the Rumpke policy for discarding brush:

"Brush will be removed only when bundled. Bundles must be no larger than 5 ft long and no more than 18 inches in diameter." Residents are dragging long limbs out to curb and leaving them is why, when I asked, Rumpke has not been picking them up . If brush and debris is bundled properly they are required to take it."
