Newport Central Catholic is excited to name Kurt Moeller as its new Director of Development.

Recently, NCC published the next step in its long-range plan -- the restructuring of its Advancement and Development Department.

School officials said the development team has worked closely with the previous and current administrations to create a vision for the department and the hiring of an advancement director will move the plan into full implementation.

Moeller lives in Northern Kentucky with his wife and children and is familiar with the mission and importance of Catholic schools in the diocese.

Moeller began working in development and fundraising for Northern Kentucky University over a decade ago and helped grow the athletic departments substantially during his leadership.

Moeller's experience with program advancement will sync perfectly with Newport Central Catholic's development efforts in the future, which will focus on sustaining and strengthening the mission.

When asked the new opportunity, Moeller said, "I'm ecstatic to join the tradition rich NCC family and look forward to working with the faculty and staff, as well as the Northern Kentucky community, to improve the experience for all our students."

Mr. Huther, principal of Newport Central Catholic said, "With a knowledgeable and dedicated development team already in place, the addition of Kurt's experience and work ethic will enable us to best utilize our talents and strengths and allow us to better serve our constituents. We couldn't be happier that Kurt is joining us."

Moeller will begin working with NCC's public relations and communications director, Mary Ciafardini, and recruitment and admissions director, Tessy Krebs.

Moeller adds that this new position "provides a great opportunity to help enhance and improve the experience for all our NCC students by working with the NKY community and our alumni base."
