All evening activities for at Highlands are cancelled, including Junior League Football.
Amy Kramer, spokesperson for the Northern Kentucky Water District, told FTM that around 30 customers will have their water service interrupted after they shut off the water main.
"We waited until Highlands let out so they would have access to water," said Kramer. "It was an older main and when we began excavating we discovered it had old streetcar tracks laid overtop, which always makes it a little more difficult."
Kramer said that they hoped to have water restored by 11:00 p.m. tonight and that traffic would be open to Memorial Parkway by 1:00 a.m.
Traffic will be detoured around N. Fort Thomas Avenue until then.
Old streetcar tracks?? Awesome!! Even though my house was affected it's cool to hear the tracks from the Greenline are still there.
