These funds were raised throughout the month of November through several initiatives including a Dunking Booth, a Massage Therapy Day, and an office-wide Swear Jar. Funds donated by employees were matched dollar for dollar by BM2. Employees voiced their excitement to raise funds for such a noble cause, especially during Cancer Awareness Month.
“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. I’m thrilled we were able to have fun while raising money for American Cancer Society,” says BM2 Freight Account Manager, Jason Sheth.
The American Cancer Society is working to create a world with more birthdays – a world where cancer never steals another year from anyone’s life.
And they're getting results.
Eleven million people in America who are surviving cancer and countless others who have avoided it will celebrate another birthday this year. According to the American Cancer Society, "When you join the ACS movement to create more birthdays, you’re helping the American Cancer Society save lives by helping people get well, helping people stay well, finding cures, and fighting back."
