Newport Catholic Announces David Ueding Scholarship

David Ueding. Provided.
Newport Central Catholic is proud to announce a new scholarship available to students in need of tuition assistance – the David Ueding Scholarship.

A generous donor approached school officials in November and pledged $20,000 for this new scholarship. As most within the community know, Mr. Ueding has dedicated the last 49 years of his life to NCC, as a teacher, coach, and mentor. Mr. Ueding has influenced countless students over this half decade of service, so there is no better way to honor him than to help make an NCC education a reality for more students. In announcing this new scholarship, NCC also appeals to you – our parents, alumni, and benefactors – asking for support for this scholarship in the form of donations to increase usable funds so that they can serve more students beginning next school year.

If you would be so generous as to donate towards the David Ueding Scholarship, please contact Kurt Moeller, Director of Development, or send a check to NCC, earmarked for the David Ueding Scholarship Fund. Any assistance provided for this fund will go a long way. All endowed scholarships at Newport Central Catholic go into interest bearing accounts. Funds are dispersed to students from the interest earned so that the balance of the scholarship never diminishes. Please prayerfully consider a contribution to this scholarship.

And most importantly, please offer your thanks to Mr. Ueding the next time you see him for all he has done for the Newport Central Catholic community over the past 49 years.
