such a horrible event
ReplyDeleteThank you. My .Mother died thst night. This fire was not caused by poor wiring. Read Robert Websters book...it tells THE WHOLR story.
ReplyDeleteI'm not all that informed about the entire event, however I am interested as to why so many items are still left there. With the historical nature of the event, why not house artifacts in another location...museum of some type. Out of respect I can see leaving items and at the same time, but wondering if local campus's haven't worked with officials to preserve some aspects.
ReplyDeleteThey bulldozed these items into the basement but they keep coming up through the ground.
DeleteThere is some items in the Soldiers Museum in the Fort in Fort Thomas
Deletevery hard to watch
ReplyDeleteI remember the call going out to all EMT's from any department. The Deer Park fire department EMT's responded. Some of us wives went with them thinking they would be coming back home. We stood at the bottom of the hill with a crowd of others in silence until one of our husbands came down and told us to go home as they would be helping for a long time. Such a very heartbreaking event.
ReplyDeleteOur HHS graduating class had our last prom there and it burned before our graduation celebration. Still have pictures of the prom there. Will never forget it.
ReplyDeleteI watched the the fire that night from the cemetery across the hill from Beverly Hills. People in long gowns and suits were complaining as they walked up 27 because they had to leave their cars there. They didn't realize how lucky they were to be alive. Such a sad tragedy.
ReplyDeleteIs there any way to download a copy of this?
