Marzano Builds Bridge for His Eagle Scout

Brett Marzano. Provided.
As a child, Brett Marzano frequently played in the woods behind his house.

So when he was contacted by the Fort Thomas Fire Department about building a bridge along the trail in Highland Park for his Eagle Scout project, he was thrilled.

Brett completed the bridge project in one weekend last summer in August 2015. The project entailed disposing of trash, cleaning out the gulley and lining it with stones to prevent erosion, drawing up plans for the bridge, securing tools, enlisting volunteers, and completing the project in one weekend.

Brett is a lifelong Scout. As a Cub Scout he was a member of Pack 706, Den 2 at St. Catherine, and a Boy Scout member of Troop 86 at St. Joseph’s in Cold Spring.

This is an advertisement.

Brett is currently a senior at Highlands High School and will be leaving for college in the fall.
