Highlands High School Assistant Principal, Jeff Schneider, was Stephanie's devoted partner.
The Highlands and Fort Thomas' communities are organizing two events this Friday and Saturday to do their part to help the family.
First, Highlands High School is designating Friday, April 29th as a “Blue and White Day.” HHS students, faculty, and staff are asked to wear blue and white that day and bring in at least a dollar to donate.
All proceeds will go towards a scholarship fund in honor of Mr. Schneider’s wife. Donations can be turned in to your fourth period teacher on Friday.
Seconds, a Dine to Donate event on Saturday April 30th at 15 North from 4 p.m. until close. 15 percent of the profits will be donated to assist Mr. Schneider and his family in the months and weeks to come.
"Jeff is an extremely important part of the Highlands High School staff and community," said Trinity Walsh, a Guidance Counselor at Highlands High School.
"Although he is not a native of Fort Thomas, we truly believe he is ingrained in this community. He prioritizes his relationships with parents, students, faculty, and community members. His dedication to Highlands and his job make him invaluable. We truly believe that Highlands is a family, and such, we want to make sure that we take care of our family members to the best of our ability. By coming together to organize and participate in these events we are supporting Jeff and his family, as they work through this difficult time."
Please make plans to help any way that you can.
