Pohlman to Sign Letter of Intent for Tennis

Highlands High School tennis player Lacey Pohlman will sign a letter of intent to play tennis at Thomas More College. The signing will be held at 3pm on Friday, April 1, 2016, in the media center at Highlands High School.

Pohlman started playing for the Highlands tennis team in 5th grade, lettering the last three years, and is a co-captain this year.  Her achievements include the 2014 Unsung Hero award, 2015 Best Teammate award, and she was a 2015 KHSAA Region Doubles Quaterfinalist.

Pohlman has been accepted to Thomas More College’s James Graham Honors Program.  While attending Thomas More, Pohlman intends to major in elementary education.

"Lacey has been a pleasure to coach,” said Kris Laskey, Highlands High School head tennis coach.  “She gives it her all, is a great role model for the team, and I know she will do big things at Thomas More on and off the court.”

“By attending Thomas More College I can keep playing the sport I love while staying focused on academics,” said Pohlman.
