Rumors of a movie filming in northern Kentucky have been circulating for months. Turns out, they're true. And even better, the crew chose Fort Thomas as its home base.

CURVATURE, a sci-fi thriller, is a Hallivis Brothers film, directed by Diego Hallivis, produced by Julio Hallivis and written by Brian DeLeeuw.

The film stars Lyndsy Fonseca (whose past credits include TV series "Nikita," "Agent Carter," "How I Met Your Mother," "Desperate Housewives" and "Big Love") and Zach Avery. The film also features Alex Lanipekun (TV series "Homeland"), Linda Hamilton ("The Terminator," "Terminator 2: Judgement Day," and the TV series "Beauty and the Beast"), Glenn Morshower (TV series "Bloodline," "Dallas" and "Friday Night Lights," as well as the movies "X-Men: First Class," "Moneyball" and "Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon") and Noah Bean (TV series "Nikita" and "12 Monkeys," and the movie "The Pill").

While the film is being shot in various locations in northern Kentucky, the production crew is currently based in the Hiland Building in Fort Thomas. "We needed a building with multiple offices and a large parking lot for our crew members," says Julio Hallivis, producer. "The Hiland Building was a perfect fit for us, plus there is a great coffee shop next to it."

That's Fort Thomas Coffee, if you're keeping score.

Julio Hallivis says he and his team are shooting for 20 days in northern Kentucky, expecting to wrap up May 20. "We chose Kentucky because the film commission has been great to us," he says. "Most low-budget films need help from the tax incentives in order to get financed and the film commission in Kentucky has been wonderful."

As of now there's no release date yet.

"Our plan is to take CURVATURE to the major film festivals and then we will take it from there," Julio Hallivis says.
